Shielding Done RIGHT!!!   Some guitars come with some shielding paint, but that is rarely enough.   The cavities are connected therefore not grounded to the guitar.   We completely shield the cavities with conductive aluminum foil or copper foil tape and connect the cavities to each other with a "connecting wire".   We verify conductivity and grounding with an ohm meter insuring a proper "Faraday Cage" has been constructed.   This is the proper way of shielding a guitar cavity to minimize unwanted noise.    Guitars with coil splitting and single coil guitars greatly benefit from proper shielding.
